100% Pinotage

Method and Maturation:

The grapes were harvested at 25B. Fermented at 26-28C for about 4 days. Pumped over 3 times daily during alcoholic fermentation. Malolactic fermentation was completed in tanks.

The wine matured in American oak for 12 months.

Wine Tasting Notes:

In terms of Appearance: Deep ruby with a slight garnet rim

On the nose, expect:

  • Ripe black cherry, plum, and blackberry

  • Subtle smokiness (like a distant braai)

  • Hints of rooibos, dark chocolate, and soft vanilla oak

On the palate, expect:

  • Full-bodied with velvety tannins

  • Juicy dark fruit core: mulberry, damson, redcurrant

  • Smoky spice (black pepper, clove), savoury edge

  • Well-integrated oak, long warm finish

In summary:

  • Bold, generous, proudly Pinotage

  • Great with grilled meats or simply savoured on its own
