Wine Dinner: Meet the Parents of Pinotage!

Drawing inspiration from the incredible reception to the recent All-Pinotage Wine Dinner, we're following up from it with a wine dinner that is same same but different!

Pinotage has recently been taking up quite a lot of the spotlight, but its parents are equally intriguing. Everyone knows its famous parent, Pinot Noir, but Pinotage actually takes more from it's other parent... Cinsault.

In this dinner, meet the parents to better understand where Pinotage comes from and get better acquainted with the entire family!

What's Included

  • Multi-course tasting menu
  • Explore modern expressions of Pinotage alongside it's parents Pinot Noir and Cinsault

FAQ

Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
We'll be in touch after you register to note any dietary restrictions.

Should I join this if I already joined the wine dinner during The Pinotage Festival?
You didn't meet any of the parents during that wine dinner, and that makes up 8/10 of the wine line up!

Is this suitable for large groups?
Seating is limited to 20, so early registration is recommended for groups.

Is there a dress code?
Smart casual.

What's your cancellation/refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. If your plans change, just let us know who'll be attending in your place before the dinner.

Please note: this is a $0 registration to reserve your interest — it is not a payment. Payment for the Wine Dinner is arranged directly with Annette Scarfe MW, and you'll receive instructions on how to pay shortly after you register.

Seats are limited to 20 and allocated on a first-registered basis.

Please note for the Checkout - While this is not a physical product, it is a Service being delivered on the day of the event, which makes it GST chargeable, and we will need to collect a local Singapore "shipping" address. You are free to use the event venue address if you feel uncomfortable sharing your shipping address (we wouldn't be using your shipping address for any marketing purpose).

Chenin Blanc: A South African Regional Journey

Chenin Blanc is South Africa's most planted old vine variety. It's been growing here since the 17th century, survived phylloxera, and built the brandy industry. And yet, most people only know one version of it. Put three old vine expressions from three different regions side by side, and that changes completely.

Before You Drink That Wine, Ask How Old the Vine Is

Old vines produce less. But what they produce is rarer, more layered, and carries something younger vines cannot replicate. In South Africa, that story is backed by science, economics, and a certification system unlike anything else in the world. Here's everything you need to know.

Paarl: The Quiet Powerhouse of the Cape Winelands

The Paarl wine region sits quietly between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, yet its warm climate, granite slopes, and cool evenings shape some of South Africa’s most generous reds and textured whites. For wine lovers in Singapore, Paarl offers a distinctive terroir that deserves far more attention.
