Wine Tasting notes:
On colour
Rainbow’s End Merlot 2019 can be described as deep ruby with a slightly developing garnet tint at the rim, suggesting a ripe, concentrated wine that is just starting to show early evolution in the glass.
On the nose
The nose shows plump black plum and dark cherry with hints of red berry, supported by gentle notes of chocolate, mocha and soft spice, giving a plush, rounded aromatic profile typical of Merlot.
On the palate
On the palate it is dry and medium to full-bodied, with juicy dark fruit, smooth, velvety tannins and moderate acidity, finishing with lingering notes of plum, subtle cocoa and sweet spice.
On the whole
A supple, dark-fruited Merlot with velvety tannins, soft spice and an inviting, rounded finish.
Can be enjoyed now but is anticipated to reach its optimum in 2-5 years time.
