Wine Tasting Notes:
On colour
Migliarina Syrah 2021 would be expected to show a deep ruby core with a narrow purple rim, underlining its youth, concentration and relatively cool fermentation. The colour would be intense yet still limpid, suggesting ripe skins and confident extraction without excessive heaviness.
On the nose
On the nose the wine is likely pronounced and slightly savoury, opening with black cherry, blackberry and dark plum, supported by blueberry and a touch of redcurrant. Typical Syrah notes of black pepper, violets, smoked meat and a hint of olive tapenade or dried herbs would add complexity, with subtle vanilla and sweet spice from oak in the background.
On the palate
On the palate the wine would be dry, medium‑ to full‑bodied and firmly structured, with flavours of blackberry, black cherry and plum carried by fresh, medium+ acidity. Fine but persistent tannins, peppery spice, a light smokiness and discreet oak would shape a long, savoury finish, giving both immediate appeal and scope for further bottle development.
On the whole
A focused, pepper‑scented Syrah, combining dark berry fruit, fresh acidity and fine tannins with subtle smoke and savoury spice on a long, structured finish.
