On colour
Rainbow’s End Cabernet Franc Limited Release 2021 is best described as deep ruby with a vibrant purple rim, giving a youthful, intense appearance in the glass.
On the nose
The nose shows lifted redcurrant and black cherry with pronounced violet florals, graphite and a refined leafy, herbal edge that is typical of high-quality Cabernet Franc.
On the palate
On the palate it is dry and medium to full-bodied, with concentrated red and black fruit, fresh, linear acidity and fine, chalky tannins leading to a long, elegant, gently savoury finish.
On the whole
A focused, finely structured Cabernet Franc with bright aromatics, precise fruit and a poised, mineral, food-friendly finish.
Can be enjoyed now but is anticipated to reach its optimum in 5 - 8 years.
